holo belly mattress
I came across this product on facebook and I couldn’t help but think why I did run across this 5 months ago!?!?!?! I am a total face down sleeper and not being able to do so for about the last 6 months has been driving me bonkers. I am currently 7.5 months pregnant and I probably could have slept on my stomach at least through 12 weeks. Psychologically I just couldn’t do it. I felt like I was smooshing my baby lol.
This invention would have been brilliant! I could have used it at least through 6 months. I feel my stomach is way to big now to try to pull that off. For the pool this looks even more amazing!!!!!!!!!!! This is a perfect gift for a babymoon! I did read one review where a mom said laying on it for to long made her light-headed. Maybe it’s the gravity pulling from the center that caused that?
To the people behind holo, you are genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can purchase one at www.holo-lilo.com
look it’s a hole!
Today I came across Yoga Joes. I think these things are ha-larious and amazing at the same time! I am not a devout yogi but I do believe in the benefits of yoga and I do yoga as much as my time permits. I was just thinking about getting my 6 yr old son in on some classes and then I see this. These would be a great introduction to yoga for him!
Best part is that these were funded by kickstarter. It’s amazing what can happen when you put your dreams out into the universe. Take a look and buy some! They retail for $25.00 for green and $50.00 for pink (not sure why pink cost double). You can find them at www.brogamats.com
downward facing dog is my fav pose
they even come in pink!
if only Dr. Seuss had a whole book explaining delivery!
I knew I was going to have to deal with this sooner or later. I had a brush with this question over the summer and I neatly dismissed and bs’d around the question. My son came home from summer camp very upset because he said his friends were teasing myself and the baby. When I asked him what they said he angrily told me that his friend said the Dr. was going to see the baby naked and that the baby would come out of my private parts. He told his friend that is not true that the baby comes out of my tummy! What I should have done was told him the truth then. I did not, I just could not figure out how to explain that yes, the baby is going to come out of my private parts. I would then have to deal with 6 months of him asking to see where the baby comes from, and how does the baby get out of your private parts and so on, and so on. I would also then have to deal with the fact he would think I lied to him about the baby coming out of the stomach. I was not prepared to scar my child with a c-section video to prove I was right in my lies.
Now that I am 32 weeks the questions and curiosity have increased. I still have not figured out a way to explain childbirth to this kid. He won’t be in the delivery room so realistically I could still play dumb. Obviously not the best choice. I looked for kid friendly videos to explain childbirth and I couldn’t find any. The closest I got to a non graphic video was the babycenter video below.
I think this one might just have to do the trick. He is going to be so grossed out lolol. He will have so many questions. I don’t know if I’m really ready for this! I should have just had my children closer together so he wouldn’t even know to ask or care!
This movie looks super cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m totally looking forward to going to see it. Hopefully my son won’t think it’s a corny girl movie:)
