Wouldn’t it be awesome to quit your job and travel the world??? In my mind I do it every two weeks. In reality, I’m still at work. This couple is living my dream. They traveled/still traveling the world for a year! My wonderful bestie in New Orleans put me on to this site and I was in awe! They are literally acting out my fantasy life for the most part, my fantasy life also includes round the clock nannies (if needed) for this trip as well as spa treatments in every single stop:) James and Evie are my mental twins.
They are documenting their travels on their website www.brooklynnomads.com. You can poke around and see where they’ve been, where they are going, and what they saw!
I was on the phone with one of my program directors today and I asked him if he had ever had a cronut. For those of you not familiar a cronut is a donut/croissant hybrid. My programmer said he had not, so obviously I told him I would send him some. In the effort of not having to go on a cronut hunt in Chicago I decided to order them online. When I had my meeting with cronuts I was in LA so I have not actually had them in Chicago tho I know we do have them. When you google cronuts Dominique Asel pops up. I click on the site, I like the picture, I decide to order. Or so I thought. Online ordering is for pick up only in the New York store and they are sold out until mid may. Wow, I say. WOW. This has made me only want this cronut more so I have asked my bestie in NY to grab me some. We will see if she comes through. If she doesn’t I will be accepting resumes for my new bestie position. I feel as tho I must have them! Chef Ansel, I salut you and your inner fat kid!!
When I first saw these shoes I completely flipped! I needed to have them! When I saw that Solange was the art director for Puma it made sense. I love her style and the fact that it is completely opposite her famous perfect sister makes it ever better. Solange has managed to carve out a niche just for her and it fits perfectly! If she pulls out more designs like this than count me in!
Three styles were released exclusively for Opening Ceremony in NY. These will set you back $150.00 USD. Not to bad considering some Jordans go for $500+
I purchased mine via the Opening Ceremony online store and was happy as a clam when they arrived. I have not shaved my legs this week so you will NOT see a pic of me in my sneakers:) I’ll save that for later.
Every year we do a family camping trip in August for my birthday. I am aware that some folks camp all year round but that just seems like something I will never do. There is nothing about camping in the snow that seems like it might be fun lol. I just don’t see the point of voluntarily freezing.
For the last 3 years we have been going to see Yogi bear at Jellystone campground since our son was on the younger end their activities seem to be more his speed. I think we may switch it up this year and go for someplace that has more activities. During my search I found that Midwest Living magazine did a compile of the 24 best camping sites in the Midwest! Click below to look through them.
This Saturday the kid and I will be holding Conversations and cake at Brown Sugar Bakery in Chicago. Below is the flier. We will be signing copies of the book and indulging in the hands down BEST caramel cake ever! Brown Sugar Bakery was just voted the Best Bakery in the nation by Steve Harvey.
If you don’t live in Chicago, please pass along to your friends who do! We anticipate having a great time!
Today is Friday where I obsess over the fashionable people places and things, that I want, have, or just like to look at:)
While I was shopping on Sunday I came across these Christian Louboutin shoes and I thought I was going to pass out because I needed to have them. Guess what, there was one pair and they were a size 6.5. Who wears a 6.5???? What kind of size is that??? I thought I’d share so you can be mad with me:)
